Bio
Initially conceived to supplement the already rich artistic activities that take place in Edinburgh during its famous International Festival, boutique label Delphian now boasts a roster including some of the UK's finest choirs, ensembles and instrumental soloists, as well as an informal grouping of vocalists working regularly with pianist and song mastermind Iain Burnside. In the fifteen years since Delphian's inception, the label's founder Paul Baxter has built an engaging catalogue whose repertoire ranges from pre-medieval times right up to the present day.
Notable artists on Delphian's roster include Peter Hill, Philip Higham, Iain Burnside, John Kitchen, Simon Smith, David Wilde, Benjamin Nicholas, Duncan Ferguson, Choir of Merton College, Oxford, The Marian Consort, Choir of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, Red Note Ensemble, Choir of St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, Concerto Caledonia, Mr McFall's Chamber, Hebrides Ensemble, Orchestra of St Paul's, The Syred Consort, and many others!
